Echo's donation of £1,000 to Whizz-Kidz will go towards providing essential mobility equipment for disabled children and young people in the UK so that they will be able to fulfil their potential and lead an active childhood. Our support is crucial for enabling young disabled people to participate at school, socialise with friends and take part in sports.

Staff and customers of 3D Entertainment Venue Chicago Rock Cafe Bristol nominated the Cots for Tots appeal. This appeal is run by Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal (fundraising for a new Children's hospital in Bristol). The donation to Cots for Tots will nearly fully fund a incubator for the children's ward, following expansion at St Michael's Hospital, Bristol.

Moorfields Eye Hospital received £4,905 for specialist equipment to be used in the new international eye centre. Our grant enabled the purchase of, 6 Trial Lens Sets, 2 Drip Stands, Baby Scales, 2 Stand on Scales, Height Measure and 5 Colour Vision Books.

Following on from the success of their award of a Vauxhall Zafira in the 2006-07 awards, this charity was awarded £3,600 in the 2007-08 grants to enable the set up of a new digital recording suite for their pupils.

This wonderful charity in Oxford received £4,261 to fund a special child's chair in the radiology department to test various muscles. The money will also purchase Apnia Alarms for tiny babies to inform doctors of any breathing difficulties.
