SUPPORTERS AND CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENTS
Since the start ECHO has made a massive impact for children's charities and hospitals thanks to our customers and the hard work of our staff at venues across the country.
From Scotland to Jersey people have been hard at work collecting money, doing outrageous things and taking part in huge fundraising events to raise as many funds as possible.
Of course our main supporters are you, the public, without your generosity through donations the grants made by ECHO would not be possible. To read more about our celebrity supporters, please see below:
The TV chef lent his support to ECHO for the 2009 Christmas Give a Kid a Quid campaign which ran throughout Luminar and 3D Entertainment Group venues around the country.
The Hollyoaks hunk lent his support to Echo for the Christmas 2008 fundraising campaign entitled 'Give a Kid a Quid'. The campaign raised £134,000 which will go a long long way to providing sick children across the UK with essential medical and mobility equipment.
The 2007 Dancing on Ice Champions supported Echo for the Christmas 2007 Give a Kid a Quid campaign. Yet another celebrity endorsement which proved a major success.
Stuart (who plays character Russ from Hollyoaks) supported Echo during November 2007 when he appeared at Oceana Plymouth for their Echo charity evening.
The singer endorsed Echo's 2006 Give a Kid a Quid campaign and gave a special performance at Liquid and Envy in Stevenage. The campaign was a great success. Echo make a donation to Daniel's chosen charity, Global Angels.
Fitness goddess and new mum Nell kindly agreed to support our Summer 2006 August Bank Holiday campaign called 'Are You As Fit As Nell' this was highly successful and raised lots of cash for children's charities in the UK. A personal appearance by Nell took place at Oceana, Leeds so that Echo could say a special thank you for her help.
Following the success of our 2004 Christmas campaign ECHO decided to run 'Give a Kid a Quid' for 2005. Who better than to endorse this special event than Sara Cox. The Radio 1 DJ superstar and mum kindly agreed to support Echo this Christmas. The campaign has been changed slightly from last year, each Luminar venue has to raise over £500 to be in a draw, the winner of this draw will receive a live PA with Sara in the new year! Whats more ECHO is to donate money to Sara's chosen charity. Fantastic!
The Geordie TV presenters agreed to endorse Echo's 'Give a Kid a Quid' campaign during christmas 2004. Customers at Luminar venues had fun donating £1 and having their names put into a draw to win a fabulous Karaoke machine. As a thank you to Ant & Dec for their generous support Echo donated £12,500 to their chosen charity 'The Sunshine Fund' in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The famous Hells Kitchen duo kindly lent their support for ECHO'S 2004 Summer Campaign 'Get Out Of The Kitchen'. Cartoon images of the pair were drawn up and printed onto thousands of posters which were displayed at Luminar venues across the UK. Customers were able to donate money to the cause and various venues even hosted beach parties! As a thank you ECHO met up with them and donated money to their chosen charities.
The Mis-teeq ladies, the UK's premier urban R&B act who were nominated for many music related awards were thrilled to be supporting ECHO with the Christmas 2003 Campaign, 'Mis-teeq Make a Magical Christmas for Echo'.
Although unable to appear at a venue the girls did everything they could to publicise the charity and help sick children.
The singer, who was once in pop band Steps, agreed to appear at a celebrity auction in Windsor to raise the profile of the ECHO charity. She discovered the good work which ECHO do and has since agreed to lend her support to the fundraising campaign.
The celebrity couple kindly agreed to endorse our 2003 Bank Holiday charity campaign with 'Christine and Neil’s Knees Up Weekender' and took part in radio interviews which were broadcast throughout the duration.

ECHO was delighted to receive support from the Classic Gold Digital Radio Group who adopted Echo as their chosen charity for 2003/2004.
Classic Gold Digital, home of the prestigious DJ Tony Blackburn, struck up a unique relationship with Chicago Rock Café’s southern region. Various events were held in that particular region to raise funds, including a Live Music Festival in Devon, the main act for the event was Modern Romance.
After a presentation to the station’s national controller they accepted the adoption of ECHO as their nominated charity which resulted in considerable fundraising activity and the raising of ECHO’s profile nationally.
The former owner of the Chicago Rock Cafe and Jumping Jaks brands, The 3D Entertainment Group Limited supported the Echo Trust from March 2007 until February 2010.
